I have over 25 years experience designing and manufacturing decals. Over the past decades I have seen many different base materials used for transfers. Some of them proved to be better than others, such as thin self adhesive backed clear vinyl and waterslide transfers.Vinyl is the choice of many restorers for its flexibility, easy installation and the ability to clear coat with 2 part urethane automotive clears.
I use only the best clear PVC vinyl on all my decals; the exterior UV rating is 7-9 years. The inks I use are solid color inks; it’s the only way to assure bright bold colors. I enhanced lighter colors with a solid white ink primer backing. Each color is meticulously printed with registration held within exacting standards.
